Good week

We just got back from baking extra fancy brownies with all the missionaries in the stake. We each brought a different ingredient to put in them. They were very gooey. While the brownies were being baked, one of the sisters taught the elders to sew a blind hem. I'm excited to try it out on a pair of pants, but I don't have any pants that need any sewing at the moment. I wish we could have played soccer or volleyball, but at least we got to do that last week. Today we also tried a different grocery store and were pleased to find that it was much cheaper than the ones we had been going to.

New investigators! We have an appointment tomorrow for a man who just spent 35 years in prison and read the Bible while he was in there. He's interested in reading the Book of Mormon. His sister was referred to the missionaries by one of her friends because her father had just died. The sister missionaries met with her and because they're assigned to Spanish, they forwarded them to us. When we met her she said she was feeling a lot better about the loss of her father.

Two more missionaries just returned from their missions to our ward. They're a couple who had served as the mission president and his wife in their mission! We having dinner with them on my birthday. I'm trying to get my companion to let them know that it'll be my birthday. I'm excited to get them to go with us to teach lessons.

Yesterday at church we didn't have any investigators or less active members come to our ward. So, we got to go to the Gospel Doctrine class instead of the Gospel Principle class. It wasn't any more fun that the class I usually go to, but I got to learn a bunch of church history that I normally wouldn't come across. We also got to teach sharing time portion of the Primary class in our ward. The Primary president had given us the Sharing Time Outline manual and showed us the lesson we were supposed to do on how to pray. However we didn't really follow the outline (we still taught what we were supposed to) and I ended up doing a backflip as part of an object lesson that illustrates the purpose of prayer. It was fun.
